Uniformed members of the Philippine National Police who are facing criminal and/or administrative charges filed in line of duty before any court and quasi-judicial body may avail of the IBP Legal Aid.
To avail for this service, qualified applicants shall submit:
- Copy of the formal complaint filed before a court or body of competent jurisdiction;
- The investigation report containing the police operation conducted that resulted to the filing of the complaint against the police officer; and
- Other documents or records to show service-connection of the acts complained of.
After evaluation and review of the records, the Commission shall issue a certification as to whether the charge against the police officer is work-related or not.
